We completely know where you are coming from. It is hard with little ones to remember to slow down and be present. But taking this little step does make a difference in the way that we feel about a situation and the way we choose to interact with others. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you for your comment and for sharing a little bit about your life with us. It sounds like our families are on the same page as far as trying to improve our whole selves. It’s so important to start teaching our kids while they are young, not only the importance of finance but also about being the best people that we can be.

Lately, my wife and I have been on a big push to rediscover ourselves (personally, and especially financially). We’ve also been trying to instill a some of these principles into our kids as well. It’s important to talk about them, but even more important to actually SHOW them.

Work hard/play hard? I tell our kids that all the time. Sure, they know my job is important and helps pay the bills. But then I ACTUALLY take the time to play with them. They pick up on the idea of balance way more than I would have expected them to. It starts young.
